Bedecked with their brilliant blonde bobs,
Inspiring us with their facts,
Lucy Worsley and Jodie make wonder their jobs,
And in style they never are lax.
These women illumine the past
And point to a future with insight
They deal with the hard bits that last,
But do so with hope and with light.
Their sartorial merit can’t be doubted,
And their eloquence has little match.
With them our society’s dull rules are flouted,
Granting insights for us by the batch.
They’ve taught us to learn, to try despite strife,
To be clever and kind, good samaritans.
While one lives in fiction and the other real life,
We’re grateful for both British heroines.
